LEMONS vs. LIMES

I recently posted Dr. Berg’s Lemon Water + Salt in the Morning recommendation.
Then someone asked:
Will limes or key limes work as well as lemons?
Simple answer: No.
Lemons are significantly better. They contain much higher levels of citrate, which is the main beneficial compound for kidney stones, gout, and liver support. Limes (including key limes) have lower citrate and are noticeably less effective. Use lemons when possible. Limes are an okay backup but not equivalent.
